“High-end” PS4 Neo Confirmed By Sony; Won’t Be Unveiled At E3 & Will Be “More Expensive” Than Current PS4

Sony has finally confirmed the existence of an upgraded PS4 panel – the rumored PS4K, currently dubbed 'PS4 Neo'.

Speaking to the Financial Times, Sony President and CEO, Andrew House, confirmed that a "high-end PS4" is indeed in evolution. House stated that the upgraded PS4 volition be more expensive than the original PS4 console, and that it "is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4".

Andrew House, president and global chief executive of Sony Interactive Entertainment, told the Financial Times that the "high-end PS4" would exist more than expensive than the current $350 version.

"It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4," he said. "Nosotros will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle."

The new console, which is codenamed "Neo", volition target hardcore gamers, he said, equally well every bit consumers with a 4K television set looking for more loftier-resolution content.

Although many have been hoping that the console would be making its advent during side by side week's E3, House stated that this won't exist the case.

With Nintendo already having confirmed that their Nintendo NX won't be displayed during this year's E3 either, we wonder whether Microsoft will be showing of their rumored Xbox Scorpio during the consequence.
